टिट्टिभासन The Firefly Asana

Attempting the full split version of Ṭiṭṭibhāsana.  I know it's an advanced asana, and especially one of those that requires the body to at least be ready enough for it.  Though I felt that inner yoga call nudging consistently to just check it out and see how it goes.

😍I'm actually happy that I got the split right.😍

Lights Galore

#YES Can you believe that my parents’ anniversary happens to be the “Remember, Remember The Fifth Of November Day”!  How cool is that!

And to celebrate…

Let’s talk more about more #LIGHT!  And enLIGHTening the world!

It also so happens that I woke up from an unplanned intermittent fast of about 30 hours.  I wasn’t intending it.  It was a “LightFULL” day.  I was mostly in bed.  I only managed my basic warm-ups.  And almost didn’t want to get up and eat.  I felt like just soaking it all in, sleeping in, and letting the day go by.  What difference does it make.  I winded up getting up and out of bed anyway.

Before I proceed with More Light Stuff…

I did say that “if it is for you, then it’s gonna happen”.  And I also said that “some people are just not meant to do this”.

So it gives the impression that “it is something that can be left to chance”.  Such that:  If it is for you, then it is for you… it will happen, regardless of whether you decide to do it or not.

My only response to that is:

Sounds “fatalistic”.

Life is a paradox.

Just like driving… you have to hold on to the wheel and yet “let go”.  You might be propelling and maneuvering the vehicle.  However, you aren’t completely in control of making the vehicle move or reach its destination.

Not making a choice to turn #plantbase #nonfoodist “insert preferred term here” IS A CHOICE in itself.

Leaving it to some idea of fate IS A CHOICE you make.

I commend Jolie for at least trying to turn plantbase… regardless of the fact that it previously didn’t work out.  And I still staunchly believe that if she is interested enough, she can do so.  I’d love to support her in her process.

I commend the people “who tried”.  Who seriously went on fasts and detoxes… and seriously tried to get off the meat.  And still wish they could.  Regardless of the fact that it previously didn’t work out.

At least they actually tried.

And by trying… they found out for themselves what is possible for them.

I’ve been sharing this link, though I have been considering updating it.  Regardless, everything still serves true, especially for those who are beginning, exploring, trying out, testing the waters of deepening their #pranic #light #nonfooding practice.

If there was anything I am to add, especially for those who are already practicing #veganism #wfpb and partial #raw #fruitarian who are wanting to deepen pranic practice… “pranic” here being an operative term to avoid too much repetition of words…

1.  Drink more water

2.  To me, it’s “friendlier to the body” when you increase intermittent fasting, instead of shocking it through forced long fasts.  Because when the body is truly ready, it will do things voluntarily.  The body has its own way of “revolting”, when you are forcing it.

3.  I truly believe it is important to keep in mind that pranic is leagues different from veganism in many ways… even if they share similar aims, goals, visions, missions, desires, ideals.

Having said that…

It’s important to think pranic, instead of thinking vegan.

4.  You have to come into terms with your philosophical and spiritual beliefs.  You can learn from many practitioners out there.  Whether through medical, scientific, or spiritual methods.  It is my honest opinion that one person can explore such through spiritual means… and someone might be able to explore it as nothing more than a scientific process.

Though I must say that even medical practitioners attest that “some sense of spiritual belief” has remarkably shown significant differences between spiritual people and nonspiritual people.

Regardless… I think it would be very interesting for someone to write about his/her own nonspiritual experience of nonfoodism.

5.  You have to come into terms with your beliefs and perspectives on abstinence.  Especially “abstinence beyond food”.

I previously wrote about this.  I said I believe abstinence is not about a perspective on sex per se.  Instead, it’s truly about self-empowerment.

I think many people hold back from deepening their practice mostly because of the known/unknown belief that nonfoodism involves abstaining from sex.

There are those who do.

There are those who don’t.

The choice is yours.

My personal take is that:

Abstinence from sex does have an effect… which you can only experience by finding out for yourself.

It has been believed that abstinence from sex is necessary to go further in your practice.  It is something believed even in Kung Fu/etc.

Though it is becoming popular knowledge that there are “workarounds”, which allow you to develop abilities that supposedly are much simpler when you abstain.

In spite of that…

There are people who still decide to abstain.  And usually it is because they are trying to achieve something… experience something… which they believe they can only attain through abstinence from everything they can abstain from.

Howbeit, I still conclude:  It is a personal choice.  Nobody has to enforce it.  And you are the only one who can decide on it.

There are people who might have consciously deliberately chosen to abstain.  And there are those who are “unwilling abstainers”.  There are those who might have been “unwilling”, and yet they eventually experienced the advantages… so they actually continue abstaining by choice.

To me, while there are many purposes and reasons for doing so… the top reason people abstain is:  Shared Energy.

Ergo:  It is still your choice.

On a similar note…

I did hear about that “no fapping movement” going around.  And it is a unified move against pornography (and other related unhealthy sex practices).  And it is also a way of sexducating mostly men about sex and energy.  However… how different is fapping from sex per se.  Is there a true difference.

When you think about that this is about “SELF-EMPOWERMENT”…

I think you pretty much get it that: impulsive-compulsive sex… having sex out of habit… these still fall under sexual dis-empowerment.

If you are still going around having sex for the need of it… and to a degree unable to control it… then you still fall under sexual dis-empowerment.

What’s the difference between saying:

It’s just one stick.

It’s just one glass.

I think one thing I would say is…

You have to be at peace with who you are and what you are.

If you cannot grasp the idea of abstaining, perhaps accept that abstaining is not for you.  The same way that turning plantbase or nonfoodist is probably not for everyone.

If you are married…

Or maybe you were thinking about getting engaged… or getting married at some point… or having a family…

You have to figure things out.

There are married couples who have and had and continue to explore pranic living.  And intend to build “pranic families”.

The same way other couples have figured raising #veganfamilies #plantbasefamilies.

Going it all the way and completely negating sex from your life… that’s a whole different venture that requires a different intention in mind.

It’s your life.  It’s your journey.

Overcoming Heights Issues

I finally climbed that ladder and of course I had to do a rajakapotasana and padangusthasana.

I'm so glad I did this today.
