Healthy Is The New Sexy

#HealthyIsTheNewSexy

It is common for #healthbuffs to do “Before And After Photos/Videos”, to keep track of their progress.  Seeing their progress also serves as an inspiration to keep going AND a reward… the result of all their efforts serves as the ultimate reward.

I seldom take these kinds of photos and do these kinds of posts, mostly because I have a different perspective and definition for “healthy” and “strength”.

I also think there are many plantbase bodybuilders and healthbuffs who can serve the purpose of providing physical evidence that It Is 100% Possible To Be Healthy And Strong WITHOUT CONSUMING ANIMAL MEAT AND ANIMAL PRODUCE.

There are a lot of popular #plantbase #vegan #pranic athletes and bodybuilders.  All you have to do is run a search.  And just as a reminder... the US Military already publicly recognizes #veganism #plantbase nutrition (since 2019 or maybe 2018... search FORT SILL).

Though I did take these photos today, mostly because I wanted to see my own personal status.  Where am I at present.  Basically, to build better self-awareness.  And assess my personal goals.

PRIOR to taking the photos, I felt alright.  I think “how we feel” is a stronger barometer of our physical state of being.

So seeing these photos made me feel even better about how I feel, as I can see it shows me exactly how I was feeling prior to taking the photos.

Honestly...

Truth be told...

Every time I take these "progress photos"...

I surprise myself.

Yes.

I always surprise and amaze myself.

I truly believe that if you want it enough AND God wants it just as much, then by all means even God supports us through and through for us to make it happen.  And we will stay alive.  And wake up everyday to live another day.

I did mention feeling bigger and taller.  And suspected it might be mass gain.  Though I personally haven't been very conscious or concerned about all that.  I know that one of the top concerns of #pranarians is mass building or regeneration.  Specifically those who haven't been practicing since birth or childhood.

For those who have been practicing #prana #light #breatharian #rawfoodism #plantbase #vegan since birth or childhood... or even since they were in their mother's womb... are actually very healthy people.  They look just like anyone you see everyday.  And they come in all shapes and sizes.  Some of them are chubby.  Some of them are slim.  Just like anyone else.  You won't even realize they "do not eat meat" until they tell you.

AND BTW…

These photos were taken BEFORE my workout session.  So what you see on the photos are not the product of working on some arm exercises today.  Instead, these were PRIOR to doing my arm exercises for the day.

AND #YES…

As I did say…

Muscles look good.

Though honestly…

Truth be told…

Based on my experience…

Muscles are not the true measure of Health and Strength.

ANYONE can develop muscles.  Vegan or nonvegan.

ANYONE can lift 100kilos of rice.  And yet it doesn’t go that someone with muscles can actually lift 100kilos of rice.

Though I do believe that muscles per se have a connection to health and strength.

And if muscles serve as the best evidence that a PLANTBASE LIFESTYLE is highly possible probable plausible achievable… then may muscles serve their purpose.

Thank You for all your efforts to remain “holistically healthy”, because:

#HOLISTICHEALTHISOURFIRSTWEALTH

I think 2020 is more than enough proof that statement is truth and fact.

P.S.  These photos are also 100% NO EDITS.  I didn't brighten the photos at all, just to show that they where not enhanced in any way.  The only editing would be the addition of the text and watermark plus cropping to put them in a collage.

P.P.S.  I know there are people who have never even tried drinking and smoking.  And those who also never tried drugs at all.  And I think they should all be more out and loud and public about it.  I know a lot of them remain quiet only because of their friends or coworkers... and they want to avoid debates/conflict.

I personally believe vices and addictions are choices.  What you do with your life and money is your choice.

And it is my choice to be out and loud and public so that people (whether children... teenagers... or adults) would know They Have A Choice 👉including the choice to say #NOtodrugs and #YEStoHolisticWellbeing.

My Green #VenTea [Factoids About Drinking Warm/Lukewarm]

#Green #VenTea for a change.

I have been drinking more plain water recently.  For about three or four years, I have been drinking mostly room temperature/lukewarm water.  Not cooled in the fridge AND without ice.

I was able to cut down drinking cold drinks.  For about two years now.  I sometimes buy a cold drink, probably once a month or once every three months.  And usually because the day might be pretty hot.

It is something I learned from my sister and father, who were in Japan back then.  The Japanese (at least where they were) encourage drinking room temperature water, instead of iced/cold water.

Two of the vital health benefits are:

☕  It supports metabolism.
☕  It minimizes/eliminates congestions/accumulations in the body.

PRIOR to learning this from them, I was hearing a lot on radio and TV that it is better to drink warm or lukewarm drinks during/after meals.  This avoids accumulations of foods in the body, especially of ingredients like processed oil.

BTW...

Speaking of processed oils...

A lot of #WFPBNO people attest that they effectively lost more weight, when they supplemented their exercise routine and whole food plantbase diet WITH REMOVING PROCESSED OIL.

They said that they were only able to decrease their size and weight to a certain level... through exercise and intermittent fasting.

They were only able to effectively lose stubborn weight and fat when they finally decided to eliminate all processed oils from their diet.

WFPBNO means Whole Food Plantbase NO OIL.

The Tree [Balance Is Something You Create]

A tree that looks at God all day, and lifts her leafy arms to pray... poems are made by poets like me, yet to this day only God can make a tree.

🌳Vriksasana🌴

#वृक्षासन = #Vriksasana = #TreePose

I like to imagine myself as the tree described in Kilmer's poem, and recite it as I stand in this beautiful asana.

I love its simplicity... and yet how powerful the energy is in it.

According to one of my references, there are only a couple of yoga asanas from the medieval times that remain popular in these modern times.

I could imagine that The Tree must be so strong as to be one of the asanas that has withstood the test of time.

Be gentle as a lotus.

Be strong as a tree.

Staying Strong to Strongest as a tree.  Staying Safe.  Staying Healthy.  Staying Blessed.

#ThankYouGod I am immeasurably eternally thankful.

Answered Broadcasts #ThankFULL - an example of HOW I broadcast😊💕

🦅#Garudasana + #PadmaMudra🌸
Standing sequence practice for #balance #focus #coordination #legpower

Actually...

The truth is...

There "was" a sudden outage.

And I decided to "rave" about it on social media, because FB is the official place where we get to broadcast and commune to the cosmos.

And because we have to be out and loud about our petitions...

I decided to put together an entire garudasana + padma mudra sequence.

It is a fact and truth that camera magnifies everything.  Though it is also said "the lens" can be more accurate in projecting physical reality.

I can believe that just watching this.

I can see my mood is so apparent and discernible here.

Well..

In the first place...

I wasn't trying to hide it.

As I was recording this, I could feel my legs screaming the truth inside me.  And yet I decided to proceed and see if I could actually hold the asana and execute the sequence.  I have several reasons for continuing this balance practice "in spite the inability to hide my true sentiments".

At the top is...

The last couple of times I was out to take some photos of my asana practice...

I realized that the natural environment is so different from the comfort of the home or studio.  Of course I expected that.  Though actual experience always gives a better analysis than just thinking about it in your mind.

There are many curves and elevations here and there.

You cannot alter the natural state, though you can try looking for a more conducive space and ground... which isn't always gonna yield a positive solution.  Mostly because the natural environment is the way it is... unless you start bringing in hammers and nails and cement... and build a space exactly as you want it to remain unperturbed during your asana practice.

Though I like the idea of the comfort of a space built to my liking...

I also believe yoga is something you are suppose to be able to do out in the world... with the world.  And to be able to do that, you have to be so okay and so alright with the condition you find it in.

You don't ask the sea not to get you all drenched when you decide to take yoga photos at the beach.  You play with the sand and sea.

You don't ask the leaves not to cover your face when you decide to hug a tree while doing a padangusthasana with it.  You smile and thank it.

So...

I decided...

Dark or light...

Happy or otherwise...

Shaking legs or stable legs...

I AM DETERMINED TO EXECUTE THIS ASANA.

I think even the cosmos noticed and heard... it granted my request before I could even finish.😍

Well...

Truth be told...

I did have to send out a PM and SMS prior.  And maybe because being a #ProudIlocana gives me the privilege to be "stinjē"... I was reluctant about the SMS, though I figured it would push for my intention to be granted.

#ThankYouGod for answering my prayers Now and Always.

#ThankYou to the very responsive team.

#ThankYou to myself for doing this... it is always worth growing and building more self-awareness.

The lights came back quicker than ⚡Flash⚡ and thunderbolts.

Another happy ending.

#YES New chapter... let's begin like this day just begun.

tHEART of Standing

#tHEARTofStanding

I keep talking about how I previously had an aversion for yoga.  And that was like for many many years.  Though I did overcome it, when I realized that yogis/gurus actually look like all other everyday people.  You could be standing beside one in the middle of rush hour, and you wouldn’t even know unless you strike up a conversation and ask.

Though I did re-include the padmasana in my daily meditation, circa 2016.  It was an on and off thing for me, because I believe meditation comes in many forms.  You can sit comfortably in a hammock, overlooking a nice white sandy beach… and that can be meditation.

I tried to resume my practice in Tai Chi Chuan… that’s a long story, I’ll talk about some other time.

Basically, I winded up revisiting some yoga asanas I learned throughout the years.  And now that I look back, I realize most of them were actually standing asanas.

Why does that matter.

Most people like to sit when yoga-ing.  Or start out in sitting position.  And I always found that strange.  It always looked and felt weird whenever I see a teacher or class sitting while yoga-ing… even if I am familiar with how most Hatha/Restorative (and other relaxing yoga styles) classes are that way.

I think it was because I never sat in Tai Chi class.  We always started standing.  And never sit.

That probably had an influence in my self practice.

And I personally prefer standing over sitting.

Standing is more than just standing, when you are talking about standing in taichichuan, yoga, or kung fu… or any martial arts.

And if you ever attended military events, you would have noticed how soldiers/cadets stand for long periods of time.

The ability to stand for hours and remain composed is a remarkable skill… probably more significant than flipping yourself over in so many ways.

I mean… come on…

Hand stands and inversions are awesome.  Though if you can’t even stand properly on your two feet… which is the basic way we humans move around in this physical environment… what’s the whole point of impressing people with turning upside down in so many ways.

So today…

I wanna share with you:  Standing.

When we stand like this, we aren’t supposed to be just standing.

Instead, it is an opportunity… a moment… to pay attention to your body.

This is probably the one best way to build more self-awareness, and understand what is going on with your body.

Personally, standing this way as shown on the video reveals to me more about my self, compared to sitting in meditation, being in bed, or doing all sorts of yoga stints.

For instance…

I shared about dropbacks around April this year.  Though honestly, it was only last week that I started actually practicing it daily.  I skipped maybe three days.  Though I have been intending to do it daily.

Moreover…

I probably stopped doing the urdhva for about three months.  I’ve only tried probably twice.  And I noticed my body was being “uncooperative”.  Like a child throwing tantrums.  And when I would pause and relax from trying… I would remember “dropbacks” and “backups”.

Though “starting” my practice with dropbacks actually only finally “flowed” for me last week.

I already had my personal thoughts as to “why” that happened.  “Why” my body was “uncooperative”.  And "why" practicing dropbacks was sort of postponed… though in truth, it happened in the right appropriate time.

AND BY SIMPLY TAKING A MOMENT TO STAND…

And pay attention to my body more attentively…

I was able to see more behind my thoughts on the matter.

So standing…

ONE:  The best way to start is to simply stand as you normally would.  Don’t try to put too much thought into it.  There’s no point trying to do it the way a guru or kung fu master would do it.

It would be nice if you have full-length mirrors.  Though I personally prefer taking photos or videos.

That way, I can review the photos and videos AFTER and analyze them.

That way, I also remain focused in my practice… and I don’t have to get distracted by glancing at a mirror.  This also allows me to focus more on paying attention “inward” than at looking at myself in a mirror.

TWO:  Draw your attention inward.  In your physical body.  And scan your body from head to toes.

This is not about “visualizing” something or anything.

Literally pull your attention to your body.  Remain “detached”.  And simply observe.  Move from one body part to another.  Observe without any attachment or judgement.  Take note of your observations... without any attachment or judgement.

The goal is to keep your awareness and attention to your physical body.  Instead of trying to imagine and visualize something or anything.

That is all you have to do to get started.

You can do the hand sequence as shown on the video as well.  If you do so, ensure that you sustain the awareness.  Continue to observe as you move your arms and hands.

IF you are new to this kind of exercise, you can start by sitting on a chair with your feet flat on the floor.  DO NOT SIT ON YOUR BED.  Use a chair.  Keep your feet flat on the floor.  Keep your spine straight, even if you have to lean on the chair… IF you have to.

However, practice with the chair only until you can stand for longer periods of time.

It has to be comfortable.

You do not have to do this exercise for long hours.  Even a couple of minutes will suffice.

The point is to deepen and build more self-awareness… and not “pushing yourself to stand for hours”.

Standing for hours might happen for you.  Though it is more important to gain “self-awareness”… than merely standing without actually knowing or accomplishing the purpose of standing.

I also personally consider STANDING as a better position to properly ground yourself, compared to being in bed or sitting.

100% Clean And Sober

100% #ThankFULL
THANK YOU, GOD
Thank You For Good Health

The words “clean” and “sober” are expressions that mean to say that you are not “intoxicated in any manner or form” and/or you are not “a user or dependent of intoxicating substances”.

Saying “I’m clean” is a statement said that means:

1.  If the cops searched you and your belongings… they would not find anything because you are “free and clean of intoxicating substance”.

2.  If you undergo a drug/intoxication test… they would not find anything because you are “free and clean of intoxicating substance”.

Though saying “I’m clean” doesn’t always involve liquor per se.

Saying “I’m sober” is a bit more casual.  And is usually more about liquor.  Though it can also involve any kind of intoxicating substances, including drugs.

WHY am I being out and loud and public about it.

Does it have anything to do with people I know whom I care about.

Well…

To be honest…

I recognize people’s life choices.  I see from the perspective that "we are all having a journey".  So I have learned to respect people’s choices, whether or not I personally know them.  Recognizing people's individual journeys and choices is not the same as agreeing or tolerating.  THOUGH I will always tell them I will always caution against it… even if I will leave you to your choice.

And even if we are close... but you are already in your 30's or 40's or more...
I'll probably never say a word... though if you are someone truly close to me I'd personally tell you frankly:  You already know what drugs are, and you already know you are making a choice and that it is your life.  I trust that you know exactly what you are doing.  Period.

If you're not my child... if I'm not married to you... if I don't live with you for that matter... your life and choices are yours.

Instead...

Truth be told…

At the top of my reasons for being out and loud and public about "Being Clean And Sober" would be something I saw on TV, back in 2008.  I was staying with my aunt in the US, and I sometimes watch the news with her to keep her company.  I didn’t want to offend her by saying I don’t actually watch a lot of news or TV… especially that it was quite obvious she might not understand why.

One day…

What I saw on the news was…

A full recording of two young parents who were very very very very high.  They were so high that they were recording on video how they were smoking pot/weed AND made their INFANT CHILD smoke it, too.  And they were literally laughing in a happy way… not in a “laughing joking about it way”.  They were actually happy about the whole thing.

And the INFANT CHILD was obviously just a months old… not even talking or walking.  It couldn't even sit itself up straight on the sofa yet.  It didn’t have a choice at all, because it can’t even move itself in such a way as to be able to shove “the thing away”.

The INFANT CHILD had no choice but to smoke whatever they were making it smoke… the same way it would have drank milk if they placed a bottle to its mouth.

The video recording made it to the news, because the parents were so high that the video made its way around.

Would you shove weed to your own infant child or newborn.

Would you stuff your own infant child with drugs and liquor, before it can even talk or crawl or walk.

What is wrong with drugs anyway.

Regardless of the effects to one’s health, to me… it’s the “substance dependence” that matters.

To me… it’s just like being dependent/addicted to liquor or smoking.

The choice to be dependent is yours.

The same way that the choice to “not be dependent” is a choice.

The same way that the choice to empower yourself is a choice.

The temptation and weakness you overcome are power and strength and freedom and sovereignty you gain.  #awareness #consumerawareness

These days...

It should be quite apparent...

And something we should all know by now...

That #SelfEmpowerment is not something handed down to you like a shirt you simply wear.

Self-empowerment is something you do for yourself.  And people merely support you in the process of making that choice for yourself.

At a personal level…

Quitting liquor gives me that “power of choice” to do something else with my time, my health, my body, my life…….. instead of drinking.

Truth be told...

Even if it was a personal choice to quit liquor...

It was a great motivation when I later discovered that many successful business owners are actually very clean&sober AND even advocate and ecourage people to be the same.  They have been public about how they actually value their health... and live lifestyles very different from what is usually portrayed in TV and movies.

Knowing that so many successful people are actually #CLEANandSOBER served as an affirmation and verification that I am on the right track.

When children (and teenagers and adults) are not dependent on drugs and other intoxicating substances for that matter…

1.  They can live healthier lives.

2.  They can live more empowering lives.

3.  They can do much more better things with their time, health, body, lives.

4.  They can have healthier more empowering aspirations in life for themselves and for others.

If you did the math...

Money and time "spent" on drugs and other intoxicating substances can be money and time "invested" on:

1.  Your grandest dream vacation
2.  Your grandest dream house
3.  Your grandest dream car
4.  Your grandest dream life for yourself and family/love ones

And even if you don't care much about any of the above...

The money and time "spent" on drugs and other intoxicating substances can be money and time "invested" on WHATEVER it is you desire and aspire for the most.
