Boodle Fight at the Academy

Almost every single year, the whole family attends the annual academy homecoming. It was a family tradition, until me and my sisters graduated and got busy. Thus, the city had been my second home for the longest time.

But today was the first time I had the chance to mingle with the cadets, and acquaint myself with student life at the academy.

What do I consider as the most remarkable observation?

I would have to choose only one: Food.

My father had many cafeteria and boodle fight stories. He also confessed having to stowaway a piece of bread or two in secret as a plebe.

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to dine with navy men on the USS Juneau, where a huge banquet of ship food was laid out.

I will have to say this: PMA cadets ought to try US ship food. No matter how tough life in the academy might be, they surely have it so much better... and they will most likely be eternally grateful for that somehow.
