| Twice Born Heaven |
Inspired by yesterday's Waxing Crescent Libra Moon in the sky... there was more than one reason I thought the Svarga would be perfect for keeping my balance in check.
#SvargaDvijasana This is the "unrevolved" version. This asana is also called Bird Of Paradise in English. Though according to references, Svarga Dvijasana translates as Twice Born Heaven or Heavenly World.
The form of the asana itself is compared to the flower Bird Of Paradise... which is how it got its popular english name.
Libra is best known for the Justice symbol. Though what is less talked about is that it is also a sign that loves beauty, which has to do with its ruling planet Venus. Libra seeks and takes pleasure in beauty, beautification... and what nourishes it with the feelings of beauty... whether physical/literal or figurative. Think of experiencing some kinda heaven.
And one of the aims of doing the asana Svarga Djisana is to attain both inner and outer balance for the purpose of experiencing a sense of spiritual rejuvenation and renewal... externally and internally.
I consider Svarga as one of the best asanas that expresses the ultimate goal of yoga: bringing a sense of peace, serenity, union in being a physical incarnate who is also multidimensional... experiencing both the physical and spiritual. Holding the pose is a "representation" of that experience of holistic union within and without.
💕Being at peace with yourself as both a physical and spiritual being.
